Children: Sunday Club

Junior Church or Sunday Club has been an important feature of Church life at St Luke’s for many years. Children are welcomed at the club in St Luke’s Church Rooms for children’s worship including Bible stories, activities, games and fellowship. A Party or outing to the Panto is held every year and there is a group picnic in the summer.

There is a Sunday Club activity morning during every Church Worship except for the second Sunday, which is an All Age Worship Service in the Church. At this service the children often perform a welcoming role and make the collection, and sometimes do the reading or say prayers. Sometimes Sunday Club and Pathfinders lead the All Age Worship service and many young people are involved in all aspects of the worship.

Leaders of the Sunday Club are members of St Luke’s congregation; they share the responsibilities of running the club between them. Their "committee" meets 5 times a year and members also attend relevant training sessions for Church Youth leaders at different times.
