School Worship

St Luke's Church have the immense privilege to join with school staff throughout the year in sharing in different aspects of the School and Church calendar for worship.

Assemblies are a chance for the whole School family to join together, listening to stories and joining in with songs, supporting the Christian Foundation of the school and the school's values. Assemblies are taken by Vicar Jane or volunteers from St Luke's Church.

Open the Book: Exciting sortytelling when bible stories are shared with children in school in a way that is fun, interactive and memorable involving children where possible.  Open the Book visit weekly on Wednesdays.

Festivals:  Christmas Services, Easter Services, Harvest Services, Year 6 Leavers services -  at St Luke's and in Winchester Cathedral.

Easter Experience: An interactive time for chidlren to engage with the Easter story through prayer stations offering art, creativity and space to reflect.

School class visits to learn about the church.

It is also important that we mark milestones in the children’s school journey whether that be standing on the School gate at the start of term, joining the welcome for Reception children and their families or leading a leavers service for all those in Year 6 going off to Secondary School. All of these things contribute so much to enriching a child’s school experience and we love sharing these times together.
